Message from the Secretary

The month of November is a busy one. We not only have a state election which is important to all of us but we will also be voting for new officers for our Club. The next monthly meeting is November 27th at 7:30 p.m. Mark your calendar and make an effort to attend. The members who have volunteered to run for an office are willing to commit their time and skill to help the club run smoothly. Come to the November Monthly Meeting to support your candidates.

I am trying a new style for our events calendar. A few new events have been added. Let me know if you like it.

Eileen

CLUB ELECTIONS: Mark your calendar for November 27th. It is election night. Come up and vote for your candidate.

MONTHLY MEETINGS: Every member should make an effort to attend our monthly meetings. It gives you a chance to hear first hand what is going on. A lot of important issues are discussed and you should be there to contribute your skills and expertise. Helping in a small way can benefit your club in a big way. It's also a great way to meet your fellow members. Give it a try.

CHILDREN'S CHRISTMAS PARTY: A new member, Travis Snell, has volunteered to coordinate this party. If you can help in any way, I'm sure he would be glad to hear from you. Santa will be there. Don't forget to bring a small wrapped gift ($10 or under) for your child/children so Santa will have something to give him/her. Please mark your gift with his/her name.

PISTOL: Congratulations to Ned Berube. He took first place in the 22 matches this summer in the Tewksbury summer league.

ARCHERY: Archers are having a great year with many deer taken already and Thursday nights at the club are a great time to meet new friends and talk deer hunting, not to mention the great food served by Brad.

BOW HUNTERS CONTEST: 27 hunters have signed up. There have been 20 deer taken so far.

ROAST BEEF DINNER/TURKEY RAFFLE will be on December 18th. This year this event will be our installation dinner/monthly meeting. More details will be available soon.

MIDDLESEX COUNTY LEAGUE: Financial support as well as volunteer help and ideas are needed to keep the League in operation. Support the organizations that help to keep hunting alive in Massachusetts.

Don't forget to check these web sites frequently. www.masswildlife.com www.goal.org

RAFFLE: James Rust's name was drawn at the October Monthly Meeting. He was not in attendance. Remember! you must be present to win.

GET WELL WISHES: We send our best wishes to Lenny Palma for a speedy recovery.. We look forward to seeing him at the club again soon.

SPORTSMAN'S HOLIDAY WISH CONTEST: Proceeds from this raffle will go to the purchase of a big screen television for our new lounge. Tickets are $5 each. You could win $750!!!! See the attached flyer for all the details.

E-MAIL ADDRESS: If your e-mail address changes don't forget to let us know. You will not receive the monthly newsletter or other club messages unless we can contact you.
